OPI has partnered up with superstar Mariah Carey to release eight new polishes that includes four Liquid Sand, a glitter, two shimmers, and a creme. In this post I will feature A Butterfly Moment, Anti-bleak, Sprung, and Pink Yet Lavender.

OPI A Butterfly Moment, natural light

A Butterfly Moment is a peachy pink nude with a beautiful gold shimmer. The shimmer is noticeable at a normal eye distance. I thought this polish was going to be sheer but it was surprisingly opaque in two coats. Brush strokes are only slightly visible once dried. Two coats of A Butterfly Moment and one coat of OPI Top Coat was applied for the photos above.

OPI Anti-bleak, natural light

Anti-bleak is magenta purple creme. It can certainly be more red/pink under certain lights. The formula of this polish was smooth and easy to apply with no visible brush strokes once completely dried. OPI makes the best cremes ever! This color reminds me of OPI Casino Royale though Anti-Bleak is more vivid. Two coats of Anti-bleak and one coat of OPI Top Coat was applied for the photos above.

OPI Sprung, natural light

Sprung is a vibrant copper shimmer. The polish has red and yellow shimmer depending on the light. Very stunning to see in person. The first coat applied was very sheer however the second coat made it opaque. I would recommend going for three coats to achieve a strong opaque finish. The formula was easy to apply and no brush strokes were visible. Two coats of Sprung and one coat of OPI Top Coat was applied for the photos above.

OPI Pink Yet Lavender, natural light

Pink Yet Lavender is a combination of light pink hexagonal glitter and tiny bits of holographic glitter. Glitter formulas are hard to nail (ha!) because it can be either to thick with glitter or to thin with glitter. This formula was fantastic I got a little bit of each type of glitter in one coat without having to re-dip my brush. One coat was applied over bare nails for the photos above.

If I had to only pick two shades from these four in the collection I would choose Sprung and Pink Yet Lavender. Both are very unique colors. I typically get six days of wear from OPI polishes with a top coat. Stay tuned for part two of the Mariah Carey collection that will feature the new Liquid Sand nail polish.
